Five pieces, two sizes, made to order in Britain.
Each piece is built from individually patinated solid metal tiles, laid by hand and framed in steel or brass. No two pieces are ever the same, with subtle variations in tone, texture and finish making each work unique. The collection can be acquired as a finished artwork or developed into a bespoke wall commission.

Bring an idea, a reference or a space. We work from that starting point to develop a piece that feels resolved, balanced and specific to its environment.
An initial thought, reference, material direction or spatial need. This can be loose. The starting point is simply understanding the room and what it requires.
We work with you to shape the direction. Scale, proportion, palette and layout are explored so the piece begins to feel resolved within the space.
Material samples are developed to test tone, patina and surface. This allows the finish to be seen and adjusted before the full work is made.
Once agreed, the piece is produced by hand. Each tile is patinated and assembled to form the final work, ready for installation.

Read noteEach work begins with a hand-prepared timber base. Solid metal tiles are laid by hand, leaving visible seams as part of the composition.
Sulphur, salt, vinegar and ammonia are worked into the metal by hand. The colour is read tile against tile until the gradient settles.
Finished tiles are set within a welded steel or hand-finished brass frame, 6mm wide by 25mm deep.
The surface is sealed with a wax and supplied with metal split battens. Installation can be arranged on request.
