"Burnt Silver"
Solid steel sheet tiles, individually patinated and laid by hand against a prepared timber base. The surface holds a memory of storm-light — silver above, drifting through ash and graphite into a dense, charcoaled base.
Each work is made to order in our British workshop and set within a welded steel frame.
Sizes available:
Medium — 1200 × 975 × 25 mm
Large — 1800 × 975 × 25 mm
Lead time: 6–8 weeks
Solid steel tiles with a welded steel frame. Each tile is patinated individually and laid by hand. The seams remain visible; they are part of the work.
Set within a welded metal frame, 6 mm wide × 25 mm deep. Metal split battens are supplied for hanging.
Custom dimensions and palette development are available for residences, hotels, restaurants and private projects.

Is every piece unique?
Yes. Each Maison Aldour work is hand-finished individually. Variations in patina, tone and surface movement are intentional and form part of the piece.
Can pieces be commissioned to bespoke sizes?
Yes. Selected works can be adapted in scale or developed into fully bespoke wall commissions for private residences and hospitality interiors.
Are the finishes sealed?
Yes. Surfaces are protected with wax while retaining the depth and character of the metal.
Are the pieces made in Britain?
All Maison Aldour works are hand-finished in Britain.
Can interior designers request material samples?
Yes. Sample finishes and material references can be prepared for interior designers and architects on request.
